About NH Makerspace Network

Who We Are

The NH Makerspace Network is a coalition of public-facing makerspaces serving communities across the Granite State. Our regular meetings invite speakers to present and secure opportunities for partnership and provide content that helps strengthen and sustain makerspace businesses. The Network is a robust peer exchange that establishes best practices by encouraging an exchange of information, resource and material sharing, and opportunities for collaboration.

History

The NH Makerspace Network was established in 2019 through a partnership between the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts and makerspaces across the Granite State. Recognizing an opportunity to support and bring visibility to the makerspace industry, the NH State Council on the Arts convened a gathering of makerspaces to explore opportunities for collective engagement and collaboration. The NH Makerspace Network was the result of this effort.

The NH Makerspace Network connects and supports public-facing, membership-based makerspaces across the Granite State. These makerspaces are important contributors to New Hampshire’s creative workforce, providing artists, makers, and entrepreneurs access to shared equipment and learning in a collaborative, community-centered environment.

The Network engages makerspace leaders in ongoing sharing of resources, opportunities, and challenges, and facilitates connections with potential partners and collaborators. This robust exchange of ideas helps to strengthen makerspace businesses and expand opportunities for small businesses, residents, and communities across New Hampshire.
