The Amherst Makerspace is a collaboration between the Amherst Rec. Department, Amherst Middle School, and a dedicated community of local Makers. Our makerspace is part of the Amherst Middle School where it provides a classroom of 3D printers, CNC machines, lasers, woodworking and metalworking experiences. When school is not in session, nights, weekends, and school vacations, the space is open to adults to use the tools for personal projects. This unique collaboration provides the kids with a valuable STEAM educational opportunity and the community with amazing resources.
